The European Week of Regions and Cities, taking place from 13–15 October 2025, is the EU’s largest annual event dedicated to regional policy. Each year, it brings together thousands of stakeholders from across Europe to share knowledge, experiences, and best practices on building more cohesive, sustainable, and resilient regions.
This year, the NBS4EU cluster will host a joint session featuring the Horizon Europe sister projects including ARCADIA, CARDIMED, DesirMed, Mount Resilience, Land4Climate, NATALIE and NBRACER, as well as the DIRECTED project.

Peer-to-peer learning on replicating and upscaling nature-based solutions for climate adaptation

As NBS4EU projects advance their implementation phases and DIRECTED embarks on co-design, this session will focus on sharing experiences and fostering mutual learning around replicating and scaling up nature-based solutions (NBS) for climate resilience across Europe.
Together, participants will explore how NBS integrate into broader systems approaches involving financial, governance, and technical measures. The discussion will highlight enabling conditions, bottlenecks, and opportunities for transdisciplinary collaboration. The session aims to provide practical insights and diverse perspectives on mainstreaming NBS into policy and practice at regional and local levels.
