1st LAND4CLIMATE NbS Webinar

How can regions move from climate risk assessment to the successful implementation of Nature-based Solutions (NbS)?

On 30 June 2026, the Horizon Europe project LAND4CLIMATE will host the first webinar of its new Nature-based Solutions (NbS) Webinar Series, bringing together experts, regions and European projects to explore practical methodologies for identifying, prioritising and implementing NbS for climate resilience.

Titled “From Climate Risk to Nature-based Solutions: Methodologies for Identification and Implementation”, the online event will showcase experiences and approaches developed through the Horizon Europe projects LAND4CLIMATE, CARDIMED and NBRACER, alongside regional examples from Steiermark (Austria), West Flanders (Belgium) and İzmir (Türkiye).

As members of the NBS4EU Cluster, these projects contribute to the objectives of the EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change, supporting regions and communities in accelerating the uptake of Nature-based Solutions and strengthening climate resilience across Europe.

The webinar will combine methodological perspectives from technical and academic partners with hands-on regional experiences, focusing on:

  • Private land and regional governance contexts
  • Mediterranean climate adaptation
  • Atlantic resilience planning
  • Practical approaches for identifying and prioritising Nature-based Solutions
  • Pathways for translating climate risk assessments into implementation actions

CARDIMED will be represented by:

  • Tadej Stepisnik Perdih (National Technical University of Athens – NTUA)
  • Metropolitan Municipality of İzmir, Türkiye

Their contributions will highlight Mediterranean experiences and approaches to climate adaptation through Nature-based Solutions.
