Najla Kamergi, our partner from SEMIDE represented CARDIMED during the NBS clustering event of Network Nature that was held at the premises of the Royal Flemish Theatre in Brussels on September 24th, 2024.
This meeting gathered many NPE-related projects in addition to policymakers, researchers and actors from the private sector. The event allowed participants to network across the different TFs, find a space for both learning and discussing with the objective of further developing joint actions and activities.
The plenary session focused on the work of the NbS Task Forces and Hubs with a special focus on the topic of standardization. The afternoon session was dedicated to the networking space on the NetworkNature Labs which are four steps calls that aim to promote and facilitate the development of new activities, initiatives, tools, guidelines related to NbS through TF cooperation.
CARDIMED participated at Networking Table 5 “Understanding challenges and activities of Nature-based Enterprises” along with other TF members to discuss the ideas submitted during the Open Call 1 and further elaborate them in groups.
Finally, our project participated in the Specific Table of NBS Taskforce 3 “Financing and Business Models for NBS in a Nature-Positive Economy” to discuss majorly the upcoming EC expert publication on NbS in the nature positive economy and the potential contribution of our project and case studies.
