The Fifth Forum of the EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change will take place on 24 November 2026 in Dublin, Ireland, under the Irish Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The event will bring together regions, cities, local authorities and other stakeholders working to strengthen climate resilience across Europe.
As climate impacts intensify across Europe, this year’s Forum will focus on practical and replicable adaptation solutions that are making a difference on the ground. Participants will explore innovative tools being developed through Mission Projects and collaborate on solutions tailored to the challenges faced by their regions and communities.
Interactive workshop sessions will provide a space to learn, exchange experiences and co-create solutions to specific adaptation challenges. The Forum will also offer opportunities for networking and collaboration, connecting stakeholders from different sectors and governance levels to share knowledge and build partnerships.
A Pre-Forum programme will take place on 23 November, starting with site visits around Dublin that will provide first-hand insight into local climate adaptation and resilience initiatives. In the afternoon, members of the Mission’s Community of Practice will be invited to participate in an interactive workshop focused on exchanging experiences, discussing shared challenges and exploring practical tools and solutions. The day will conclude with an evening reception at Dublin City Hall.
The main Forum will be held on 24 November, from 08:30 to 18:00 GMT, at the Dublin Royal Convention Centre. The event will be held in English, with options available for both in-person and online participation.
The provisional programme is already available and registration is open until 2 October 2026. Places for the site visits and Pre-Forum workshop are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
