The 7th CARDIMED Consortium Meeting will bring the project’s international partners together in Marseille to exchange on progress, results and the next steps towards accelerating climate adaptation through Nature-based Solutions (NbS) across the Mediterranean.
On 16 October 2026, CARDIMED will open part of the meeting to a wider audience at the Hôtel de Région, with two parallel sessions connecting the project with different communities. The Public Sector & Business Session will welcome public authorities, companies, consultancies and other regional actors working with NbS and climate adaptation, while a parallel Research Session will focus on scientific exchange and collaboration.
Public Sector & Business Session: connecting NbS with territories and markets
The Public Sector & Business Session will open the CARDIMED meeting to local and regional stakeholders interested in the development and implementation of Nature-based Solutions for climate adaptation.
Organised by CARDIMED’s French partners Région Sud, Aix-Marseille Université (AMU), SEMIDE and Empan, together with Ea Eco Entreprises and EnvirobatBDM, the session will offer public authorities, businesses and consultancies an opportunity to present their NbS projects, expertise, products and services, while connecting with CARDIMED partners and other actors from the region.
A central part of the programme will be “Come pitch your NbS!”, where participants will have seven minutes to showcase their solutions and experience. The programme will also create space for exchanges between CARDIMED partners, local authorities, regional clusters, consultancies and NbS and climate hubs.

A parallel session for CARDIMED research
At the same time, CARDIMED will hold a Research Session dedicated to the scientific work developed across the project. Researchers will present short pitches on climate, soil, water, biodiversity, and humanities and social sciences, creating opportunities to better understand ongoing research, identify synergies and foster future scientific collaborations and publications.
Together, the two parallel sessions will bring the scientific, public and business dimensions of CARDIMED closer together, reinforcing the project’s ambition to move Nature-based Solutions from knowledge and demonstration towards wider implementation and uptake across Mediterranean territories.
