CARDIMED at the Cerema Territorial Technical Conference

Our French CARDIMED partner SEMIDE was present at the Cerema Territorial Technical Conference on “Water, urban planning and development – Water at the heart of our territories”, in Aix en Provence on October 1st, 2024.

The Cerema (Center of expertise on risk, environment, mobility and urban planning) and the French national water agency, have set up a day dedicated to sharing inspiring water-related practices. The day was structured around examples of water management strategies, how water management is considered in planning, and projects deployed in our territories.

This one-day event was aimed at all those involved in water, development and urban planning: local authorities, syndicates, urban planning agencies, government departments, project manager, design officer, association, etc.

14 speakers presented development projects aimed at a better integration of water in all its forms in the city. Projects involving renaturation, unsealing, wetland restoration and integration of green spaces were all presented.

Our partners from SEMIDE presented a homemade roll up explaining the main goal of the Nature Based Solutions they have developed on Demo 5 and how the CARDIMED project is built. They had the opportunity to talk and exchange with regional stakeholders.

The CARDIMED team was represented by Elrik Du Saillant Du Luc, European project manager in environment at SEMIDE, the leader of the CARDIMED French demo case.
