Developed within CARDIMED, Under the Concrete is an illustrated publication that explores how Nature-based Solutions (NbS) can help transform urban environments and strengthen climate resilience. Through research activities carried out at the Aix-Marseille University campus, the comic explains in an accessible way how interventions such as soil unsealing, vegetation and water management can influence the water cycle, biodiversity, temperature, air quality and human health. It also highlights the importance of monitoring, collaboration and citizen engagement in understanding the real impacts of NbS and supporting their wider implementation.
