This policy brief provides overarching recommendations that emerge from the collective analysis of all CARDIMED demonstration sites across the Mediterranean. It addresses common institutional barriers—such as fragmented planning, limited inclusivity, and communication challenges—and offers strategic guidance to overcome these systemic traps. The aim is to support collaborative, cross-sectoral, and transformative approaches to mainstreaming Nature-based Solutions for climate resilience throughout the region.
