Short Description:

The University of Évora is organized into 4 Schools: Arts, Sciences and Technology, Social Sciences and Nursing and offers 41 undergraduate degrees and 120 postgraduate degrees. Research and Development covers several scientific areas through a network of 14 Research Units, all of which are subject to international assessment, under the coordination of the Institute for Research and Advanced Studies. Furthermore, UÉVORA established three chairs in areas of excellence: Biodiversity, Renewable Energy and Heritage, which are sponsored by private capital holders. In recent years, the University has promoted close ties with the community. Such interaction has been possible through the creation of networks and dissemination of knowledge such as participation in the Scientific and Technological Park as well as through the establishment of protocols and service provision contracts in partnerships with Companies, Universities, Associations and Institutes.
