SEO/BirdLife is a non-governmental organization (NGO) that focuses on the conservation of nature, with a particular emphasis on birds. It is the oldest conservation NGO in Spain 1. It is the representative of BirdLife International in Spain. The organization works towards the conservation of bird species and their habitats by analyzing their threats and proposing solutions. It also focuses on scientific research, environmental education, and citizen action 1. To this end, it works to conserve wild birds and their habitat in Spanish territory, as well as contribute to the conservation of global biodiversity through BirdLife International. It carries out scientific studies to increase knowledge about wild birds and their habitat, particularly as an essential tool for their conservation. In addition, it works in international cooperation for development, as a fundamental driver for the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity in developing countries. SEO/BirdLife is registered as a non-profit association and declared a Public Utility.
