Short Description:

EMPAN is an engineering and consulting company created in August 2020 by Laure Moreau, Agro Paris Tech/Ecole Nationale des Eaux et Forêts graduate, for the deployment of ecology and citizen participation, the setting up of innovative development projects and support for communities and collectives in these dynamics. EMPAN for Ecology - Use control - Participation - Development - Nature based solutions, develops the following specific skills : Diagnose and weighting technical issues related to water, biodiversity, soil ecological functionalities Analyse technical issues and transmit key concepts to stakeholders Develop and establish a collective vision in the long term Lead the development of governance and operational partnerships EMPAN is currently involved as a partner in the first European Project for the HORIZON 2022 Programme: ‘Climate adaptation and resilience Demonstrated in the Mediterranean Region – GARDIMED”, HORIZON 2022.

Role in CARDIMED:

In the CARDIMED EMPAN will be active in the sharing of technical and scientific information, as well as regarding the participation of the publics concerned and feedback on the development of nature-based solutions specifically tested on DEMO5 Micro-forests and unsealed soils in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur (PACA) region, France (SEMIDE). EMPAN provides project management assistance to Aix Marseille University concerning the pilot sites of Saint-Charles and Saint-Jérôme, highlighting the issues and themes to be explored in greater depth, animating the community of researchers, students and partners involved, sizing the necessary work and monitoring.
