Short Description:

IRIDRA is an engineering firm with twenty-five year of experience and an interdisciplinary professional team (engineers, chemists, biologists, architects, landscapers, agronomists), able to provide all the services in the field of planning, design and construction work supervision related to sustainable water management, Nature-based Solutions (NbS) and Green-Blue Infrastructure, such as constructed wetlands for wastewater treatment, sustainable drainage systems (SuDS), ecosystem services and climate change adaptation and mitigation in the water sector. Since 2001 INDIRA is involved in EC funded projects in the ENI CBCMED (SWMED, NaWaMED), FP5 (SWAMP), FP7 (OpenNESS, NaWaTech), Life (Wataclic), PRIMA (AgreeMED), Horizon 2020 (HYDROUSA, PAVITR, NICE, MULTISOURCE), Horizon Europe (P2GreeN, CARDIMED, AWARD).

Role in CARDIMED:

IRIDRA will mainly follow the implementation and monitoring of the following CARDIMED DEMOS: DEMO1 Non-conventional water loops on North-South Aegean islands, Greece (NTUA); DEMO2 Industrial symbiosis through smart water management in Central Greece (HALCOR); DEMO4, rain garden for stormwater treatment, retention and infiltration in Catania (Italy) and green wall for treatment and reuse of greywater of the primary school of Ferla (Italy); DEMO9 Gardens of the future in the heart of Nicosia city, Cyprus (EBOS).
