Short Description:

ReonHydor is a SME located in Larissa (Thessaly, central Greece), specialized in the management of water supply, irrigation, sewerage and drainage networks, and watersheds through hydraulic simulation and implementation of digital twins. We have extensive experience designing, installing, and maintaining water systems for diverse sectors, including industrial, agricultural, and municipal. Additionally, we have expertise in designing and implementing Early Warning Systems (water quality, sewerage networks). Our team comprises dedicated civil engineers, environmental scientists, IT experts, and water management specialists, committed to delivering sustainable and cost-effective solutions for our clients. This expertise aligns perfectly with the collaboration request for the Secure-IT cascading grant for demonstration projects. Our clientele comprises water utilities, municipalities, and the industry sector, with many of whom we maintain long-term partnerships. We are capable of identifying suitable areas (industrial zones, university campuses, critical urban areas) for the pilot implementation of the project.

Role in CARDIMED:

REHY is actively involved in DEMO 2, one of nine demonstration sites within the CARDIMED project, which focuses on industrial symbiosis and smart water management in Oinofyta, Central Greece. REHY holds responsibility for simulating the water network using simulation software, a crucial step in developing Digital Twins (DTs) in collaboration with ITAI. To achieve enhanced fidelity, a hybrid DT will be employed, combining parametric physically based models with data-driven models provided by CORE. This DT will be implemented on RT hardware and connected to the plant's SCADA/MES/ERP systems, enabling continuous updates of simulations and projections, on-the-fly model adjustments, and the feasibility of HOTL automation. Moreover, the system will be designed for scalability and interconnections with other industrial units to foster industrial symbiosis, a task spearheaded by the Regional Authority (PSTE), aiming to promote the adoption of circular economy and circularity principles in the region.
