Role in CARDIMED:

In CARDIMED CIRCE is leader of DEMO 6 Forest management and heatwave resilience in Aragón, Spain (CIRCE) responsible for: i) visit to schools, data collection, SWOT analysis, ii) participatory activities (2 workshops), iii) material assessment from a sense perception analysis and thermal behaviour, and iv) conceptual design, drawings. CIRCE, together with UVIC, will study the value chain to exploit the biomass generated from selective logging. Government of Aragon (DGA) will implement the Nature Based Solutions (NBS) and new configurations/synergies between NBS and engineered systems, designed or improved by CIRCE and UVIC. DEMO6 will employ sustainable forest management, especially control and monitoring for mistletoe, through a system designed by CIRCE.
