Role in CARDIMED:

In CARDIMED UVIC (via its BETA Technological Center) will oversee the definition of the value chain and stakeholder groups involved on each CARDIMED demonstration. This information will be relevant to identify barriers and opportunities for scaling up the proposed NBS in the CARDIMED project. UVIC, in collaboration with CIRCE and the Government of Aragon (DGA), will contribute also to the implementation of DEMO6 Forest management and heatwave resilience in Aragón, Spain (CIRCE) for climate resilience in both urban and natural areas. Specifically, UVIC will design and implement the specific NBS infrastructure needed to adapt public schools to heat-wave episodes. Finally, UVIC will participate in assessing the replication and transferability potential of the NBS in the Mediterranean area.
