Role in CARDIMED:

In the CARDIMED project Halcor is the lead participant in DEMO2 Industrial symbiosis through smart water management in Central Greece (HALCOR). Halcor will serve as the operational site for the pilot interface of the smart water management system. Additionally, it will be the practical application site for testing and showcasing the technology of Natural-Based Solutions (NBS) for the treatment of harvested rainwater and wastewater. Also will contribute to defining the feasibility of achieving net-zero water by providing input, data, and feedback related to its water consumption and processes. The project aims to create a roadmap for regional replication and upscaling, with Halcor playing a key role in providing insights into the potential challenges and opportunities for broader implementation of green solutions in industrial environments.
