Short Description:

CORE Innovation Centre is a non-profit research organisation, a subsidiary of CORE Group, dedicated to fostering an innovative industrial ecosystem. We aim to provide individuals, industries and companies with opportunities to reach their true potential, to make industries smarter and greener, more sustainable and more socially inclusive. Industry 4.0 is where we choose to focus our research and innovation efforts. We deploy advances in a range of technologies i.e. IoT, big data, machine and deep learning, edge and cloud computing to maximise the potential of both people and entities in multiple sectors.

Role in CARDIMED:

CORE will contribute to the refinement activities of user requirements and will develop a cloud-based orchestration middleware for efficient data handling across diverse sources, ensuring security and scalability with tools like Kafka. Moreover, CORE will focus also on industrial symbiosis through smart water management in DEMO 2 Industrial symbiosis through smart water management in Central Greece (HALCOR). Designs for Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) and auxiliary solutions will be developed such as Digital Twins. Finally, CORE will also contribute in the overall exploitation and wider outreach of the project’s outcomes.
