ALEA srl was founded in 2019 as a spin-off company of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia by a team of professors and researchers of the Department of Sciences and Methods for Engineering. Nowadays we are a stand-alone company focused on the energy efficiency of industrial processes and environmental assessment. We have two core activities: The first comes from our academic expertise which is the 0/1D simulation of industrial processes with particular attention to energy and heat flows and the optimization of the possible recovery strategies. The second activity concerns environmental impact quantifications for products and processes. We are now involved in multiple LCA and Carbon Footprint studies to help companies to quantify and reduce the environmental impacts of their plants and products. ALEA is currently involved as a partner in the first European Project for the HORIZON 2022 Programme: ‘Climate adaptation and resilience Demonstrated in the MEDiterranean Region – GARDIMED”, HORIZON 2022.
